Women usually don’t like to go to live luxury vehicles auction because they feel uncomfortable there. Some seller still live in medieval times, and think that women will never buy a car, not only because they don’t have the money, but also because they don’t need it. There still are women that go to buy the cars they want from car auctions, but they are usually accompanied by a man, who is doing what they want, but in the eyes of the crowd he is the one pulling the strings.
If a woman want to avoid the uncomfortable situation of being addressed by a salesman that thinks he is Dan Juan, they either leave home or don’t come at all and try the online auctions. The internet can not make the difference between genders. No one sees you, no one cares who you are or what you look like, the only things that matters is the bid, and if you can cope with it or not.
Those who say women don’t know what they want are very wrong. Maybe this is why men think they don’t know how to make good deals, because women will makes bids only a few cars, the ones they like, until they get one of them But they are aware of what they are doing, only that they really want it and don’t intend to go home without it. Salesmen try to rush women away from auctions. Other men that are bidders get annoyed when they are bidding against a woman. This is mainly why online auctions are a far more relaxed choice.
Woman buyers are not as easily persuaded by a low price as men. Women want quality and they won’t give up the search until they find something they find fit. They are very resourceful searchers, especially on the internet. Women do find the things they look for eventually, and can even obtain good prices in classic car auctions. The only moment in which women are advantaged at live auctions is when they are sellers themselves, because they will benefit form extra attention from buyers and that means free car advertising.
